Our Chosen Charity - Bristol Dawg Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue
Here at the Animal Health Centre we like to pride ourselves on being a community based vets and always want to ensure we are doing our part for the local community. We are pleased that we are able to help Bristol Dawg Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue with any veterinary care they need.
Bristol Dawg has been a registered charity since 2010 and they have four Trustees and a very loyal group of volunteers.
They rescue and rehome many greyhounds and lurcher’s and therefore have to fund raise in their spare time as much as possible. Some of the dogs have had terrible lives but due to their forgiving nature, they make very loving pets once they find their kind forever homes.
We help the charity by giving them reduced costs on their vet’s bills and have also raised money for them, by doing a sponsored 5k run in the dark through Leigh woods.
They are always looking for forever homes, volunteers and donations. If you think you might be able to help then please do check out their website here: http://dawg.org.uk
